Brett Batchelor - Violin & Viola
Brett Batchelor is a Jacksonville native and has been playing string instruments for over 20 years. In Jacksonville, Brett attended the arts middle and high schools, as well as participated in Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra for nine years.
Brett earned his Bachelors in Viola performance from the University of Florida while studying at New World
School of the Arts in Miami. Brett also completed rigorous course work in String Pedagogy at University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. While in Wisconsin, Brett played with the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra and sat on the board as Orchestra liaison.
In Jacksonville, Brett plays with both the Jacksonville University Orchestra as well as the Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville. Brett has extensive experience in both orchestral playing and chamber music. His teaching style stems directly from Paul Rolland as well as the Suzuki method.
In his free time, Brett enjoys hiking, biking, climbing , cooking and eating.
