Coleman Lauderdale - Piano, French Horn, Trumpet, Tuba, Euphonium
Coleman has served as principal horn for several ensembles, such as the DA wind symphony, the UNF symphonic band, the JU orchestra and wind ensemble, along with participating in the UNF wind symphony, and the JSYO. He has also lead ensemble, conducting the UNF wind symphony, and leading the piano ensemble class at DA.
Some of his most influential teachers were Doris Barie (piano) Sarah Morrell (piano), Vera Watson (piano), Ted Shistle (DA’s band director) Donald Zentz (DA band director) and Dr. Ken Williams (horn teacher). He is currently studying under Dr. Scott Watkins (JU piano professor), Dr. Marguerite Richardson (JU orchestra conductor), and Arron Brask (JU Horn teacher).
Coleman comes from a fairly music family. His great grandmother Doris Barie, started him in piano lesson at a very young age. Coleman would go on to join his middle school band, where he picked up trumpet. Then switch to horn halfway through his freshmen year of high school.
Coleman is in the process of pursuing a Bachelors of music in piano performance, while also performing in the JU orchestra on horn and several other concerts at JU.
