Edward Latimer - Violin
Edward Latimer comes from a musical family. Born to a mother who has a deep love for music, Edward began studying violin at the age of four with Suzuki instructor Rocky Di Georgio. He continued his studies with Mary Dickson and Aaron Krosnick, graduating from the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.
He attended Jacksonville University, where he studied with Dr. Marguerite Richardson, pursuing the Bachelor of Music degree in Performance. Edward was Concertmaster for the Jacksonville University Orchestra, and first violinist of the Jacksonville University Honors String Quartet.
Edward has been named Concertmaster of the Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville beginning with the 2018-2019 season. Equally at home in both classical and contemporary styles, Edward is also a freelance violinist in the northeast Florida area, and teaches violin privately and at three music schools in Jacksonville.
