Gisselle Salinas- Voice, Guitar, Ukulele, Beginning Piano
Ms. Gisselle is a classically trained soprano opera singer. She currently works as a choral section leader for St. Marks Episcopal Church and Solo Cantor for Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she performs weddings and other services.
She earned her Bachelors in Music Education, concentration in voice from University of North Florida. At UNF, she studied voice under Professor Brittany Fouché and performed in UNF's Opera Program of The Mikado, Dido and Aeneas, Cosi Fan Tutte, and Hansel and Gretel. She also had the honor of performing with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra in the opera, La Bohéme.
In her elementary music internship, she created a ukulele curriculum for 5th grade students and conducted Waterleaf Elementary choir students at their winter concert in December 2022. She is certified to teach music K-12, however, she will continue to teach private lessons before pursuing her Masters degree.
Ms. Gisselle's approach to teaching music is student focused with the intent to reach all learners. One of her main goals as an educator is for all students to find confidence in their musical abilities while allowing students to discover their true potential as musicians.
