Greg Lanza, Guitar, Ukulele
For over a quarter of a century, veteran guitarist Greg Lanza has devoted his life to the study and performance of classical, metal, rock and the blues. After playing in metal and classic rock bands from the late 1980's to the 2000's, he made the life-changing decision to spend the rest of his life teaching the guitar.
After studying classical music with master guitar teachers Curtis Eley and Duncan Wood, Greg became an integral founder of DnD Music, a music school in Chesapeake, Virginia, soon becoming a full-time guitar instructor. In 2012, after moving with his family to Florida, he joined the teaching staff of the Jacksonville School of Music.
His teaching philosophy focuses on student goals and honest, compassionate encouragement. Greg now spends his time both teaching and performing, in both the acoustic folk duo, Timberwood, and the cover rock band, Timber&Ash.
Greg is also certified in Early Childhood Education and Development.
