Jeremy Bertisch - Brass
Starting at the age of 7 with piano, his love of music started right there. Starting on French horn in 6th grade, he expanded his brass arsenal starting with trumpet, rounding it out with low brass by the end of high school. He sought to teach others, and after giving his peers lessons and them providing positive feedback, he stepped into the world of Music Education.
During his middle and high school years, Jeremy was fortunate enough to be able to perform in most of his high school music department’s activities, and various honor bands around the county and at universities around the state of Florida. He gained a vast collection of knowledge from the guest clinicians, private teachers and directors he’s had over the years, and wishes to pass it on to his students so they can be more successful as musicians and people.
Jeremy is currently enrolled in the Music Education Program at the University of North Florida with a concentration in band and orchestral settings. He is excited to teach at the Jacksonville School of Music, and to learn alongside his students!
