Jesse Monkman - Percussion
As a Composer….
Years ago, my composition path started with writing percussion/marimba music at New England Conservatory freshly off the dairy farm/dinner theater that I grew up on(a story for another page). I have been fortunate to have had my pieces performed throughout the world at many different performance venues from concert halls to small recital venues. Some of these works have become staples in the percussion repertoire and I am for ever grateful to TAPSPACE.com for taking a chance on me so many years ago in publishing my works.
I have have turned my compositional eye now to the rest of the orchestra and am also delving into the digital world of game and film composition. I has always been my goal to produce music that both the performers and the audience come away with a positive enjoyable experience. If I have done my job well, an emotionally moving one as well. I love composing music for people and I strive to make that show with every note I write.
My works have been performed by the Beijing Philharmonic, Jacksonville Symphony, Savannah Philharmonic, Hilton Head Symphony and members of the San Francisco Symphony, New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, MET Opera and many other.
