Jonathan Lindsay, Violin
Jonathan Lindsay has dedicated over two decades to playing the violin. His musical journey began in elementary school when he started learning music using the Suzuki method and continued to develop his abilities with the violin at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts high school. His continued to grow as he pursued a degree in Violin Performance at Jacksonville University, where he was awarded the JU Honor’s Quartet Scholarship.
He has amassed over 20 years of experience playing in a wide variety of musical styles from genres such as Rock and fiddle music and arranges popular tunes, from Taylor Swift to Coldplay, for string quartets. He has showcased his exceptional talent in a diverse range of settings, from musical pits to concert halls and has studied under and performed with Jacksonville Symphony members as well as local pop-rock legends.
His talents have taken him beyond the borders of the United States, as he has performed abroad in Europe in countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Slovakia. His international performances have not only allowed him to share his musical talents with a global audience but also enriched his musical perspective and understanding of different cultures.
He remains active in the music community as a board member of the St. Augustine Music Festival as Operations Manager and continues to teach and perform throughout the First Coast.
