Katie McCallum, Piano
“Music has always been a huge part of my life. In the second grade I started taking lessons. In the fifth grade I went and toured LaVilla School of the Arts and realized I wanted to be a part of a music community. I attended LaVilla and continued on to Douglas Anderson School of the Arts for high school.
Approaching graduation I knew there was nothing else I wanted to do in my life besides sharing music with others. I graduated from the University of North Florida and received my bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance with a focus in Pedagogy. Upon graduating, I immediately began teaching.
I love teaching piano because I not only get share music with amazing people, but I also get to show others that music can change your life, just like it did mine.”
